Scottish Schools Rugby Union – Silver Jubilee Tournament Our S2 team qualified for the finals of this tournament which was held at Murrayfield on the 11 March 2001. Such was the quality of opposition that qualification to join the elite 16 who contested the finals was in itself an achievement. The Harris team acquitted itself extremely well losing narrowly to Hutchisons Grammar and defeating George Watsons College to qualify for the next round where they lost in a closely contested match to Greenock Academy. Can I take this opportunity to thank those parents who gave such enthusiastic support to the boys on the day. Dance Night Although not considered as strictly sport by many the effort put into the Dance Night on Wednesday 21 March 2001 was impressive. The enthusiasm of those taking part was rewarded by a full audience in the Assembly Hall. The event was organised by our Sport Co-ordinator Mrs Fletcher, Mrs Little and Mr Harvey a recent recruit to our Mathematics department. The dances were choreographed by the young people themselves. The money raised from the event will be used to provide a new removable dance floor for the stage. Basketball Craig Milne 4Kb represented Scotland in the Four Countries International Tournament in Galway on 1 and 2 March 2001. Football John Ferguson 3Ca, Nicky Glennie 3Cc and Ryan Hannigan 3Ca represented Dundee Schools at under 14 level.
