Achievement

December 2005

This term brings the first Activity Afternoon of the session – 177 S1 pupils and 177 S2 pupils have qualified for this free activity session by regularly bringing PE kit and having excellent participation record.  Many pupils did not qualify, however, but they can ensure future qualification by bringing their PE kit and taking part regularly in future.  Parents might help by checking pupils are prepared on PE days with correct kit and encouraging pupils to use their school planners to help be more organised.  Regular exercise is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle and something which should be actively encouraged.

The end of November saw the first presentation of the ‘Pupil of the Month’ Award to S3 SG pupils – it is a continuation of the S1/2 Participation scheme and saw one pupil from each SGPE class rewarded for their outstanding work in November.  The PTPA has kindly funded the prizes, and similar awards will be made each month for the rest of the session.

The November winners were: - Victoria Winters; Connor McLeod; Melanie Britten; Scott McDonald.
