House Sports

This years House sports competitions are underway led by our new Sports Development Co-ordinator, Miss Fletcher. Birnam currently lead in the Netball Competition with Cawdor victorious in the Badminton. Junior girls and boys football and mixed water polo will be completed by the holidays. Basketball, hockey, cross country, volleyball and football for other age groups will take place in the spring term. See the Interhouse section of the Sports Web for photographs of these events.

Netball

Congratulations to our Senior Girls team who won 6 out of 7 games in last months Dundee schools netball tournament to finish with the silver medal.

Representative Honours

A significant number of Harris Pupils have been selected to various levels of local and national teams in the past 3 months.

Water Polo

Chris Milne 6Bb, David McLean 6Ka and Ryan Laird 6Bb are in the Scotland Under 18 team and will travel to Manchester to participate in the Great Britain trails on 8 December 2000.

Hockey

Amy Rowan 3Ba and Ashley Bunce 2Fb are in the Midlands under 16 Squad.

Len Hawney 6Bc is in the Midlands Under 20 squad, Paul Johnstone 5Ba in the under 18 squad. Paul Weyers 4Fa and Michael Barker 4Fa are in the under 16 squad.

Football

John Ferguson 3Ca, Ryan Hannigan 3Ca and Nicky Glennie 3Cc have been selected for the Dundee Schools under 14 team while Findlay Mure 6Bc, Grant Fraser 6Bc, Richard Carroll 6Bc, Graeme Stephen 6Ka and Paul Johnstone 5Ba and are in the under 18 team.
