Duke of Edinburgh Awards
Pupils from Harris Academy gathered at Menzieshill Community Centre last night to receive their bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards. The participants, all aged 15, have been attending the open award scheme at the community centre for the past year, undertaking physical activities and voluntary work, and learning new skills in order to achieve their certificates. Members of the group were involved in activities such as swimming, dance, ju-jitsu, pet care jewellery making, working with the police and helping the brownies.
