Rumania Shoebox Appeal

S5 pupils at Harris, in cooperation with charity Blythwood Care, organised a collection of  much needed items for Rumania to be packed in various shoeboxes.  In all, the pupils managed to fill 206 boxes.  Further details should be available soon.

Pupils in business of winning

Young Tayside entrepreneurs put their marketing and selling skills to the test on Saturday (25 November).  The photograph above shows pupils from Harris Academy who took part in the event.

Pupils on the Young Enterprise Scotland programme were given stalls at a Christmas trade fair in the Wellgate Centre, where they had to design their own displays and sell goods they had made.  The students with the best stalls will be named at a prizegiving ceremony in the Invercarse Hotel in March.

The event is designed to teach young people business skills and a second fair will be held in Perth Concert Hall on Saturday, December 9.
