Black Watch Visit

On Wednesday 25 April, 2007 the History department was visited by representatives of the Black Watch Museum.  S3 pupils were given a talk about the Black Watch and its importance to the local area, and a slide show demonstrated the impact of World War One on Dundee and particularly the contribution of pupils from Harris Academy.  Pupils were then given the opportunity to see and handle items of uniform and weaponry from the period.

On 20 April, five S2 pupils joined 10 other local schools at the Space in Dundee College.  The challenge set was to design an environmentally friendly social area within a school building.  The construction had to be fully costed and when complete the groups had to give a short presentation of their ideas.
