Our Young Enterprise Company, Scope Innovations, carried out their final duties as company directors by attending the awards ceremony at the EICC in Edinburgh on 16 and 17 June. Guests attending this high profile event included Jim Wallace, Minister for Enterprise and Life-Long Learning as well as Chris Van Der Kuyl, one of Scotland’s leading entrepreneurs and chairperson of Young Enterprise. Although on this occasion, the pupils did not bring home the trophy (gaining 4th place) they displayed a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment.

In mid- June, a party of senior pupils spent the week at Nethy Bridge, the base for their Gold and Silver expeditions. In all, the party consisted of 2 gold girls groups, 1 gold boys, 1 silver girls group, and 1 silver boys group. They were accompanied by school staff and by senior pupils who have already completed their awards.
