Remembering the Holocaust
In the run-up to Holocaust Memorial Day, Principal Teacher of Religious and Moral Studies, Valerie Wright, has also set up an exhibition outlining the full extent of the atrocities. Mrs Wright said that this week's events built on classroom sessions on prejudice and discrimination. Describing the holocaust as "the worst incidence of discrimination the world has ever known," she continued, "it is not specifically about hatred of Jews, or even racism, but about intolerance and hatred of anyone perceived to be different and that is something that spills over into everyone's life."
