Murder
at the Manor On
Wednesday 19th March, 2008, a good number of us gathered in
the Assembly Hall to witness the gruesome murder of Marcus
Hetherington-Smythe take place, and use our best deductive skills to
solve whodunit. The
evening kicked off with the Harris Wind Band getting us in the mood by
playing us the Pink Panther and Inspector Clouseau.
We
were then treated to the first half of our murder mystery, ably acted by
a group of sixth year pupils. Then
it was up to us to solve the mystery, which led to lively debate table
by table as we sifted through clues and tried to agree on the murderer.
Brain power was fuelled by the splendid buffet, and further taxed
by the detective quiz. Once
the groups had decided who had done the dastardly deed, the actors
completed their play to reveal the culprit. A
good night was had by all, especially the winning tables, who went away
a bottle of champagne and an Easter egg in credit! The
PTPA would particularly like to thank the sixth year cast, stage hands,
their director Mr Laidlaw, the Wind Band and their conductors Ms Bird
and Mr Maynes. |
