The proceedings were opened by Mr Denis Speedie, followed by a reading from Mr. Gordon Milne.  The School String Group , conducted by Michaela Stewart, then performed Warlock's Pieds en l'air.

The Principal Speaker, Mr Matthew McIver, then addressed the assembly.  Mr McIver has enjoyed a successful career in the field os education and is a former head teacher.  He is currently Chief Registrar with the General Teaching Council Scotland.

Mr Thewliss then delivered the Head Teacher's Address.  (The whole address can be viewed by clicking the link above.)

Mr McIver then performed the duty of awarding the prizes.  A vote of thanks was proposed by the School Captains, Mae Doe and Nicholas Ward, and a Closing Prayer given by Rev. David Scott.

As always, the ceremony ended with the Harris Holiday Song, under the direction of Ethel Fitzgerald.
