At 11.00 a.m., the assembly fell silent for two minutes Two poppy wreaths were then laid at the war memorial. On behalf of the F.P. Association, Syd Scroggie performed this solemn duty while the school captains, David Miller and Ailsa Deasley performed the same duty on behalf of the school. Throughout the wreath-laying ceremony, a lament was played by former school captain, Nicholas Forbes. Head Teacher, Mr James Thewliss spoke the traditional tribute "They shall not grow old." The Last Post was played by Craig Brown and a lament played by piper Nicholas Forbes. The ceremony concluded with a Benediction by Rev.
