Course Content

Technological Studies aims to make students aware of new developments within industry and commerce.

The course includes:

• Systems

• Pneumatic Systems

• Applied Electronics

• Programmable Control

• Mechanisms

• Energy

Assessment

The course has three assessable elements:

• Knowledge and Understanding

• Reasoning and Numerical analysis

• Application of Technology

Knowledge and Understand and Reasoning and Numeric Analysis are assessed by an examination at General and Credit levels in June of 4^th year.  Application of Technology involves two technological activities that are internally assessed and externally moderated.

Additional Information

Given that the course will be presented at General and Credit level only, and the nature of the underpinning theory, it is essential that students should be studying mathematics at General/Credit levels.
