Birthday It was 12th August 150 B.C and it was Marcus Anthony’s birthday, his father woke him suddenly as he said “Happy Birthday Marcus!” Marcus replied “Thank you dear father.” His father said “Come on Marcus put on your tunic we are going to the baths.” Marcus replied “Yes father thank you ever so much!!” Then Marcus’s mother came in. She said “Happy Birthday Marcus!!” “Thank you.” He said to her. So they set off for the Baths. They had
to walk 4 kilometres to the Baths. Marcus’s mother stayed at home as
Marcus and his father went to the Baths. Marcus and his father came in
the entrance and unchanged as they bathed naked like most of the public.
They went to the gymnasium where they played ball games, weight lifting
and they wrestled. They then as they were hot moved into the tepidarium
(the warm room). Then they go into the caldarium (the hot room) the
sweating gets all the dirt out of there bodies. Then a slave rubbed oil
on their backs and then scraped away the dirt from their bodies. Then
back to the tepidarium (the warm room). And then they went to the
frigidarium (the cold room). And finally back to the pool for a swim.
Afterwards they then went for a refreshing drink whilst the others
enjoyed splashing in the great bath. After the Baths they went to meet Marcus’s mother at the
Colosseum, they met her just outside it. The first event was a bear
fighting a buffalo. The second event was two buffalos fighting two
elephants. Then comes the main event the gladiator fight. The Retarius
fought with a trident and
They went in and the bear and the buffalo fight was about to happen, the bear ran at the buffalo and the bear head butted it. The buffalo fell to the ground in shock, and attacked very aggressively and put its teeth into its head and it fell to the ground and died the blood was all over the place. Then came the fight between the two buffalos and the two elephants, the elephants both attacked the smallest buffalo and killed it then they attacked the larger buffalo, but it got back up and it went crazy as it rammed into one of the elephants as it fell to the ground and died. It was one on one the elephant on the buffalo then the buffalo attacked so aggressively even the crowd felt pain. The next fight was the gladiator
fight, well the Reatrius started nervously the Secutor took advantage of
his poor start as he tripped he then poked the sword towards the
Retarius’s throat and then looked at the Emperor he put his thumbs up
and the Retarius lived. Then they left the Colosseum and they went home and as they
walked in a lot of people were waiting to surprise Marcus. He walked in
and they said “SURPRISE!!!” and Marcus said “wow!!” Everyone
sang happy birthday to Marcus and then they all drank wine and danced
and enjoyed the free food and drink. It was a birthday to never forget
for Marcus. THE END!!!! |
