Course Content

Advanced Higher Computing Software Development
Artificial Intelligence or Computer Networking or Computer Architechture
A project of the pupils own choice and agreed with the teacher - which accounts for 40% of the overall mark.

 

Higher Computing Computer Systems
Software Development
An optional unit covering MultimediaTechnology or Artificial Intelligence or Programming.

 

Int 2 Computing Computer Systems
Software Development
An optional unit covering Multimedia Technology or Artificial Intelligence or Computer Networking,

 

Assessment

All courses have Unit Assessments, Coursework and a Final Examination.

Each unit has both practical and written assessments.

The contribution of the coursework to the final mark varies depending on the level of the course.

For Advanced Higher it accounts for 40%
For Higher it is 30%
For Int 2 it is 30%

 


Additional Information

Each unit of each course has both practical and theory work.

Each course gives an automatic award of IT Core Skills at the appropriate level.
