Challenge

School pupils from across Tayside visited the Caird Hall, Dundee, yesterday for a competition testing their business skills. A total of 24 schools competed in the event, launched by interactive entertainment entrepreneur Chris van der Kuyl. It is part of a national roadshow encouraging enterprise among young people. Organised by Scottish Enterprise Tayside, the Braveheart Challenge asked teams of pupils to think up a product and a business plan to market it.
They had expert advice on hand from representatives of local businesses including Cyclacel. There was also a mini-Braveheart Challenge for primary school pupils. Mossgiel Primary won the mini-Braveheart Challenge; Craigie High won the senior competition.
