National Galleries of Scotland website – recently upgraded. This is
now one of the best art websites you will find. You can search artists
by name or by subject matter, then look at each image in detail and read
a little about the work too. Highly recommended…!!! Not
to be mistaken for the website above, this is the website for the
National Gallery in London. This is a great resource with the facility
to scroll in great detail over a few of the gallery masterpieces. This
is the website for the FOUR Tate Galleries (Modern, Britain, Liverpool
and St Ives) a fantastic resource of modern art The
official Van Gogh website. EVERYTHING he ever drew, painted or wrote is

fabulous Picasso website. Not everything Picasso produced is here so you
will just have to make do with only 12,070 works which are on Another
good general website with good links to artists and art movements The
Museum of Modern Art in New York (MOMA) no less! See what’s happening
in the Big Apple! How
much time do you have? This is a vast searchable database of
contemporary artists. You can search by name, subject matter,
etc…..there is some great work here BUT, the quality of artworks can
be rather variable. Design The

it’s just me!) but there’s lots of information on designers and

this site American
contemporary jewellery store. Lots of images, ideas and links (Scottish
designers also featured – check out Katy Hackney) An
excellent jewellery website. Check out the Makers’ Pages (at the
bottom of the page) with links to individual designers’ websites. http://www.habitat.co.uk This is certainly worth a look! Follow the links to “vodcasts” then watch and listen to contemporary designers talking about the designs they have produced for the international homewares store Habitat. Inspiring… Expressive
and Design The
website of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (known as the
V&A). A great resource for design, fashion and expressive too! The
V&A is currently considering the possibility of
building a new V&A….in Dundee! Don’t
overlook our own DCA!!! Not a great deal of information on artists
(yet!) but worth a look. Check out the classes offered and the cinema

one of the top four in Britain! Edinburgh http://www.nationalgalleries.org The National Galleries of Scotland’s website – links to the
Gallery of Modern Art and the Dean Gallery. This website has recently
been updated and now provides images of almost all the works in the
collection. You can browse by artist name or by subject matter.
Excellent – highly recommended! Probably the best private contemporary art gallery in
Scotland Another private gallery which specialises in contemporary
Scottish art and design. This private gallery also specialises in contemporary
Scottish art and design and also the work of contemporary European and
American printmakers Edinburgh’s answer to DCA (and designed by the same
architect) - well worth a visit (great bookshop!) Probably the best gallery in Scotland specialising in
contemporary photography Glasgow Glasgow Museum & Art Galleries’ website with links to
Glasgow’s own Gallery of Modern Art Glasgow’s answer to DCA - not nearly as successful as ours (!)
but still worth a look This is the gallery to visit in Glasgow to see cutting-edge,
