Dance Extravaganza 2002

Rehearsal 1

Rehearsal 1 took place on the 5^th of December with a brilliant start with Mrs Fletcher and Mr - showing of her skills.

They started off by paring in twos’ then dancing out to (music) and going down on to their knees, then their partners walked out and twirled round the first person. Then after a few goes. Mrs Fletcher and Mr – choose four of the best pairs and they were taught a few more skills, whilst the others became a big group and shuffled around the floor. You will get a better idea if you look at the pictures - they're all in order.

Rehearsal 2

Unfortunately our cameraman spent an hour taking pictures, and then the camera decided to delete the pictures of Rehearsal 2.

These rehearsals went as follows: the dancers were taught the rest of their group dance. I highly recommend you go and see the show - I was astonished to see how well these people can actually dance and how quick the dance comes together.

I must also comment on Mrs Fletcher’s hard work that goes in every week. You may think it’s easy to organise something like a dance show but its definitely not!!

Rehearsal 3

Due to other events and it being the end of term the turn out wasn't so good. But those who did turn up were enthusiastic as usual.

There are only a few rehearsals left until the big show. The group dance is perfecting itself and, from what I hear, the separate dances are just as good.
