How to download InQuizitor

(To all pupils - this is a test version and will not work just now - no point in clicking on the links.  Hopefully, it should be fully operational within a few days)

The following instructions may sound a little difficult if you have not used computers all that much.  Don't worry - it is actually fairly easy if you follow the instructions carefully - and you will only have to do it once.  It's worth doing this because you can then go for the record score in the comfort of home (and learn a bit at the same time).

InQuizitor is made up from two parts - the player and the quiz files.  Each has to be downloaded separately.

Downloading the player

This is fairly straightforward.  When you click on the link below, you will be asked to give your name, your form class and a password.  You can get the password by asking your year head. When the download is complete (sorry, it may take a few minutes because it's a big file) an icon should appear on your desktop.

Downloading the Quiz Files

The Quiz files are stored on the school website so that teachers can add new files.  You can download them by right-clicking on the link below and selecting "save target as" and saving the file to My Documents.

Sorry, but this is where you have to pay attention.  The file you have downloaded is "zipped" or squeezed down to save space and has to be unzipped.  To do this, you need a program called "Winzip".  It's quite likely to be there on  your home computer already but, if you need a copy, it can be downloaded using the link below.
